Hi I’m Jane the founder of Mr Kipp and little Jimmy, a Mum of three boys and lover of all things wooden. I started the business initially hiring wooden toys after I discovered the toxins that were present in many plastic toys. These include hormone disruptors such as BPA and phthalates and neurotoxins such as mercury and lead. This was disturbing to me as my little boy was putting everything in his mouth to suck, chew and explore and to think his little brain is rapidly growing! I also felt unease with the amount of plastic toys that seemed to be taking over my house that quickly broke and ended up in landfill. It is unknown if plastic will ever break down! It became apparent to me that not all wooden toys were created equal (the old ‘you get what you pay for’ line!) I soon began selling a range of quality toys online Australia wide, the ones that have been tried tested and loved by kids and their parents in our toy hire.
