Loving Botánica is a natural apothecary with a strong ethos of harbouring kindness and compassion for ourselves, our beautiful mama nature and all of her creatures. Our intention is to produce and share with you nourishing, botanical blends for beauty, wellbeing and self-care. Marrying natures beauty and utility, all of our products are created from high quality botanical sources, certified-organic ingredients and essential oils with intrinsic properties. We believe in minimising our eco-footprint and preventing harm to our environment and our beloved animal friends. Which is why we choose not to use any harsh chemicals, nor ingredients which have been tested on animals.
All of our products are hand crafted in small batches by a Mother-Daughter duo in our Melbourne-based studio. We – Charyn, an aromatherapy enthusiast and craftsman with over 30 years of experience, and Ashleigh, a meditation teacher and designer – began developing Loving Botánica and trialling our products on willing human participants, in 2015. Our journey was inspired by a mutual desire to delve deeper into chemical-free living. Exploring the ingredients lists in products which were deemed safe or ‘natural’, we found a distrust for brands ‘greenwashing’ their chemical-ridden wares. Henceforth, Loving Botánica was born. Since then we have been producing all things bathtime and beauty, selling at local markets and sending parcels all across Australia.

What is naturopathy?
Naturopathy is a health care system which emphasises the prevention of diseases, whilst encouraging optimal health through modern scientific methods merged with traditional knowledge.
The following principles encompass the philosophies of naturopathic medicine:
The Healing Power of Nature (Vis Medicatrix Naturae): The human body possesses an innate ability to heal itself and naturopathic treatment is about identifying and removing obstacles hindering this self-healing process.
Identify and Treat the Causes (Tolle Causam): Naturopaths aims to identify and remove the underlying causes of illness instead of just treating symptoms.
First Do No Harm (Primum Non Nocere): Naturopaths always avoid harming the patient by using the least force to treat,
Doctor as Teacher (Docere): The therapeutic potential of a healthy practitioner-patient relationship is maximised. Naturopaths educate patients to help them make the right choices for their health. Self-responsibility for health is greatly encouraged.
Treat the Whole Person: Not only are the obvious symptoms addressed. Each person is assessed as a whole, and individual physical, emotional, mental, genetic environmental and spirtitual factors are considered.
Prevention: Working on preventing illness is always better than treating an illness. Risk factors for disease susceptibility are addressed.
How does Kimberly treat?
As a naturopath and nutritionist I employ herbal medicine, nutritional medicine, dietary therapy, counseling, and homeopathic medicines as a part of treatment protocols.
Consultations are detailed and thorough, whereby I spend time understanding your health history and current health, dietary and lifestyle habits, along with your family history. A treatment plan is formulated based on your individuality, your present state of health and your health goals.
Integrated pathology testing may also be conducted if necessary. This may include tests for blood, stool, urine, or saliva.
What can be treated?
My main areas of expertise includes, but is not limited to:
– Reproductive health (hormones, infertility, women’s health)
– Digestive complaints and food intolerances
– Detoxification and healthy weight management
– Skin conditions
– Mood disorders
– Allergies
– Cardiovascular health
– Nervous system and mood disorders
– Stress and fatigue
– Children and infant health
– Men’s health
Treatment will require me to work closely with you in order to restore vibrant health effectively.
The aim is to treat gently, deeply, and permanently.
Hi, my name is Jules Galloway and I’m a passionate naturopath on a mission to help you find your shine again.
Growing up in Melbourne, I was raised on Weet Bix, sliced bread, margarine, and low fat dairy products.
It wasn’t until my 20’s that an escalation in my health issues forced a full rethink of my eating habits and lifestyle. I began to cut down on gluten, dairy and sugar and learn about wholefoods. But I kept punishing my body in other ways. In my late 30’s a busy lifestyle, and a demanding “work hard, party hard” schedule took me to the brink of burnout.
Something had to change.
Cue – a move to Byron Bay. I learned to thrive for the first time in my life with a combination of healthy food, the right supplements, exercise, mindfulness, time in nature, and a HUGE dose of happiness.
I also dug deep to uncover the underlying causes of my health problems – pyrrole disorder (aka pyroluria), heavy metal toxicity, and a pesky MTHFR gene mutation thrown in for good measure. This gave me a super keen interest in functional medicine – a style of practice which includes pathology testing to find out what’s REALLY going on.
And now I want to share all that I’ve learned with you.
I offer both phone and Skype appointments – click here to find out more.

Creating Locks by Lucy has been a burning dream!
With a background and passion for hairdressing; I fell in love with the skill of making people feel beautiful. However it wasn’t until I become a mama that my eyes were opened to the scary world of cosmetics. Trying to find products that could be shared throughout my household; gentle enough for the babes but still providing the results I desired, deemed an impossible task.
However, it led me on this incredible adventure…
At Locks by Lucy we stand for creating hair care products that are completely toxin free whilst delivering high standard results. Made from only the finest quality 100% organic ingredients for the most natural choice in artisan hair care. Our products are formulated to be enjoyed by every member of the household; remaining safe and nourishing for the littlest of locks, to the longest. All our products are handcrafted in small quantities; sourcing our ingredients and jars from other Australian businesses.
We are proudly vegan friendly and 100% cruelty free; only tested on my own willing bambinos, friends and family.
I hope you love our products as much as I do creating them, and I can’t thank you enough for helping support this dream!
